Wheels 2 Water Event This Saturday (Surf to Live)

Wheels 2 Water is an amazing event.  The Testaverde Fund in collaboration with Wheels 2 Water will be holding its seventh annual event for individuals with severe spinal injuries this Saturday at 10AM at Lincoln Blvd.  If you’re coming off of your Quikislver Pro high and are looking for ways to continue the positive vibes that it created across town, maybe you should come down and help out.

Take a look at this video put together from the 2009 event

The Testaverde Fund was founded by Joe Testaverde, a surfer who sustained a spinal cord injury and has been working to get people into the water since.

This event is yet another example of how strong and unique a community Long Beach is.  Volunteers are needed to help surfers in the water and donations are accepted to offset the costs of equipment and refreshments during the event.

  1. Wish I could help out but I’m away starting Friday. Been a certified diver for almost 12 years and firmly believe it’s something everyone should do at least once!

  2. I went for a little, and I have to say this was one of the most incredible events I have ever witnessed in LB. To all who volunteered and worked a very tiring job, you did a great job! Can’t wait to volunteer next year =)
