Dunkin’ Donuts in the West End Imminent (Yes, It’s Time To Make The Donuts)

You can shift this story from rumor to news:

Seabythecity has learned that the Dunkin’ Donuts lease for 1070 West Beech Street should be finalized later this month.  As noted before, the look of the store will not be your typical DD Orange and Pink. Instead, it will have a “town” feel, similar to the Dunkin’ Donuts in Garden City. Also, if you don’t want Dunkin’ Donuts, then too bad. There is nothing you can do about. For more info on why you can’t stop Dunkin’ Donuts from coming to the West End, please read my December 12th, 2011 post: Dunkin’ Donuts in the West End (where are we now?)

  1. Can you say without a doubt that the store will have a nice storefront, would love to hear the owners own words stating that the design will be simple and like Garden City’s. I still think its a very bad idea.

  2. From what I heard, it’s going to be a nice store front because they want to be welcomed by the community. All I heard was a “town feel” and Garden City on Franklin Ave was the example… i wouldn’t say that facade fits a beach community, but neither does anything else around here. As long as it looks nice and not cheap.

  3. Agreed. It might be nice if the city council actually concerned themselves with town planning so our look could be less haphazard.
