Stolen Giraffe (Help!)

A reader named SM sent this in:

Over by the Laurel diner there is a yard with a strange but awesome collection of animal garden sculptures. There was a human sized giraffe but it was stolen recently. Thought you might want to post this on your site. Might help get it returned or raise money quicker!

At the house where the giraffe was stolen is a sign with the following passage:

WE ARE SELLING KNITTED FLOWERS FOR $3.00 EACH. THIS IS TO GET ENOUGH FUNDS TO PURCHASE THE 7 FOOT GIRAFFE THAT WAS STOLEN FROM OUR GARDEN SEVERAL WEEKS AGO.

P.S. NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO BREAK A CHILDS HEART. THANK YOU.

Yeah, this story breaks my heart too. If you’re interested in donating, you can find this house on Laurelton Blvd, just south of Park Avenue.

  1. Another sign that, sadly, Long Beach is changing for the worse! It has become necessary to do all of those things that, not too long ago, were not necessary to do while living here – such as always locking your doors, closing windows, chaining bikes, and watching when and where you walk alone – SAD!
