An artist’s rendering of the new hybrid boardwalk construction on National boulevard looking east

The City of Long Beach just posted an artist’s rendering of what the new boardwalk will look like. The image does not include the dunes that will be beachside, but it does gives you an idea of what to expect. The east and west end of the boardwalk will be tropical resilient wood only. This rendering shows you the wood/cement hybrid that will be in the center of town.

I do not know who did the rendering, but good job!

  1. Can someone please confirm how much FEMA is paying for this? I remember reading around $20m… how can the city that took a loan to meet payroll in December of 2011 come up with the other $20-odd million?
