I posted at the end of April that I saw a pair starting to scope out the area…glad to see the fencing up but when I went past the other day there was no sign of any Oystercatchers inside the protected area. Anyone know whether they’re back? The fencing may need to be moved to where the eggs are layed, of course.

  2. I was just over by Riverside about 30 minutes ago. The (assuming it is) female was in the protected area, and the male (assuming) was nearby walking around. They seem to be in good shape.

  3. Thanks for bird updates and sorry for the bad photo. That’s what happens when you only carry your cell phone with you… if anybody gets better shots, I would love to post them here.
