The Currywurst Menu [SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!]

shut-up-and-take-my-moneyI cannot wait to try the Tommyknocker bratwurst because it’s made with Tommyknocker Brewery’s Butthead Bock Beer. Yes, that’s right, I am talking about Currywurst, the new place that’s about to open in the old Pita Grill location @ 10 w. park avenue. For those who are out of the sausage loop, this place is all about sausage, but not just any sausage:

The Currywurst Company is commited to bringing you only the finest meats from local farms. Our high quality, organic products are free of growth hormones, antibiotics, medications or preservatives. If we wouldn’t eat it you won’t find it on our grill.

Sounds good to me! They just posted on facebook that they’re almost ready to open. Well, I have one thing to say about that: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

Tommyknocker Brewery’s Butthead Bock Beer. Tommyknocker Brewery’s Butthead Bock Beer. Tommyknocker Brewery’s Butthead Bock Beer. Tommyknocker Brewery’s Butthead Bock Beer. Tommyknocker Brewery’s Butthead Bock Beer. (try to say that really fast)

  1. Hey I’m with Charlie. Menu looks really interesting and quite unique for or LB culinary experience. Beer choices and descriptors of the menu items and curry options makes me think this is going to be a keeper. Wishing them well and hoping that their execution is evidence of a better downtown LB in our future. Now these guys ought to have a food truck down by the beach… oh yeah, no beer, which a proper brat requires. Thanks for this update Anthony.

  2. I like that this place is different, plus I do love sausage, so I am really excited. I mean, how many burger/pizza joints can we have in Long Beach?

Plus, I do hear that they will be serving beer.

  3. You said it Anthony, time for more varied options on the LB casual eats scene… obviously not for everybody but that’s what LB needs, more interesting choices. While I wish whatever comes to the new restaurant at the former Avenue success, it is a disappointment that such a nice space is going the sports bar route. We have no Indian, no Columbian or Peruvian or Argentinian, no good steakhouse, no inventive Fusion… When that happens, along with our boardwalk, LB becomes more of a destination locale and I think that that does more to enhance our resident experience than to detract from it.
PS My beer comment was in reference to their potential as a food truck participant in the future… brats on the beach minus beer… blasphemy.
