SMASH (Surf /Movies/Art/Shaping/History) teamed up with KIND to host the first-ever, 24-hour short surf film competition. Three indie film troops with a love for surf took on a challenge to write, film and direct a 2 – 4 minute shorty in just 24-hours. At the last minute, the teams were told they had to incorporate an act of kindness into their films. All troops took a different approach resulting in 3 unique inspiring/funny/beautiful videos.
The videos are on KIND’s website where public voting determines which troop will receive a $1,000 grant from KIND to carry out an act of kindness for NYC’s coastlines, in partnership with Waves for Water.
