Put Me In a Zoo [Two Powerball winners have chosen Long Beach to be their philanthropic cause.]

Written by Liz

Two Powerball winners have chosen Long Beach to be their philanthropic cause.  The winners who wish to remain anonymous are buying up all the vacant property and capitalizing on the sale prices of the homes.

The uber-wealthy couple has a two-phase project.  The land will be deeded to a Foundation called, Put me in a Zoo.  Once the land is purchased at a cost where the homeowner is satisfied the house will be obliterated.

The second phase is to have every street determine what will fill the lot areas.  The Foundation has its limits due to variances but they have stated they have the best lawyers in the state to argue any points that go against their wishes.

The first block to vote is in the West End area.  The Foundation would only say that the residents have voted for a bird sanctuary.  The NIMBY’s have argued against the flight of the cardinals near their property line as birds do expel their digestive contents wherever they want.  “No fear”, says the Foundation has they have a line budget for “Clean-up”.  Residents can apply for a “chit” for a local car wash every three months and an annual power wash of the property.

Other blocks have been voting too.  Look for a tennis court, a basketball court and a hammock park at a lot near you.
