Mission & Purpose:

The Green Project for Long Island was founded in 2009 by Joe Sinnona, (Certified Eco-Broker & Licensed Real Estate Broker). It is an up and coming non-for-profit GREEN organization that educates people on how to go Green. It is our mission to gather groups of people from all walks of life on Long Island and teach them how to Go Green.

We understand the difficulty of doing things that we are not accustomed to. Green is a concept that people do not fully understand and are afraid of change because of the misconceptions they hear. Change in their lifestyle, fear of costs in purchasing products that simplify their lifestyles, even their homes.

The Green Project teaches people not to fear Green products, retrofit their homes with Eco-Friendly products while showing them the benefits of saving on their utility bills, insulating their homes, etc. We are showing people a new lifestyle of living a better & healthier life while creating a sustainable earth. We stand behind other organizations who seek to clean our waterways, curtail pollution and create ways to clean the air we breathe and the water we drink.

The Green Project teaches several components for Green Living and they are Environmental, Ecological, Home Living & Health and Wellness.

We have a team of professionals who act as panelist which bring to you the  GREEN SEMINAR SERIES. Each one is a licensed individual in their profession and has been approved by The Green Project to speak at our seminars.

Our partnerships include several key organizations that spread messages of Green. They include: Financial Equitie, IAQ, TP Exterminators, 1-800-Got-Junk?, Melaleuca, Empower Solar Systems, The Long Beach Farmers Market, The Beaver Bat Company, RMJ Sports, Solar Windependence, AMBIT Energy and an array of other product vendors who are key to our organization.

Together, they come annually to GREENFEST to educate, display and sell their products.
