Long Beach get $4.1M from FEMA for Sandy repairs [Newsday]

“Long Beach was awarded $4.1 million to replace the city’s 19 dune overwalks that were destroyed by the October 2012 storm and 30 beach access mats along the Atlantic shoreline, which were severely damaged. Officials said the city was reimbursed for materials used to replace the mats and hire outside contractors to replace the dune walkovers. [LINK]

  1. 30!! Finally. I have been asking the number of mats for years. I even FOILed the damn thing and was told it doesn’t exist.

    You may say, “There she goes again”. I haven’t even come to the starting line.
