City of Long Beach residents and visitors will welcome back the Farmers Market at Kennedy Plaza on Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 from 9am to 1pm.
For six years the popular market, which runs Wednesdays and Saturdays through November, has featured regional producers offering fresh products including vegetables, herbs, fruits, plants, baked goods, fish, shellfish, eggs, cheeses, pasta, pickles, fair trade coffee, gluten free products, handcrafted soaps, poultry, pork and much more. This year the market will introduce new producers offering yogurt, nut butters, organic herb and vegetable plants.
“We are very happy to be back in Long Beach,” said Market Manager and Program Director Bernadette Martin. “We have lots of new products to offer, and residents whose gardens were damaged by Hurricane Sandy will have a wide selection of plants, including flats and hanging baskets, for the spring planting season.”
Be sure to visit the Kennedy Plaza Farmers Market at 1 West Chester Street in Long Beach from May 3rd through November, Wednesdays 10am-4pm, Saturdays 9am-1pm
The Farmers Market accepts EBT, SNAP, Debit, Credit, FMNP & WIC checks.
