The other day when I mentioned New Jersey’s Stronger Than The Storm campaign, I had no idea Long Beach had something up their sleeve too. Hence, our new tourism logo! The city makes it clear that it will NOT replace our amazing City seal. With Neptune the god of the sea, a Mermaid with boobs and our city motto “City By The Sea” inscribed in Latin, our City seal should never, ever change. It’s just too kick-ass.
Ok, back to the new tourism logo. What do you folks think of it? Is there a motto attached? If so, I hope it’s not about us beating up storms, because that’s just silly (read – New Jersey is Stronger Than the Storm). While I support all recovery efforts everywhere, we don’t need to be macho about it. Just say “We are back” or “Come to the beach.” It’s really not that hard.
