Site News

Hi folks, I’m working on changing things up with the look of the site, so please be patient.

WRITERS: Please contact me if you’re interesting in contributing or even becoming a writer! I’m not a journalist so you don’t need to be one either….this is a very casual blog.  BUT,  if you want to be a journalist and need the practice, what better way then writing for seabythecity.com? You can probably even put it on your resume!!

PHOTOGRAPHERS: I’m looking to update some of my banners. If you got a pic that you think might look good, let me know!

WELCOME HERALD READERS!

Seabythecity.com was mentioned in a Long Island Herald article regarding Matt Pinelli and his East End Neighbors Association start-up.  In one and a half years of blogging, I got three media mentions! So far my stats are: 2 in the Herald & 1 in Time Out NY.  Not bad for a non-journalist / silly blogger.

Check out Matt’s website and join his cause! We in the East End need voice too!

In the meantime, if anybody wants to contribute to this site in any way, please contact me. I promise not to put you on any mailing lists, and I will return all emails.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I’ve had a pretty busy week.  I’m looking for more contributors for the site. If anybody has anything they would like to contribute Long Beach-related, please let me know.

Seabythecity. com (version 2.0)

Welcome to the new blog!!

Lots of hiccups. Some links will take you to the old site and I still need to fix the tags and organize categories. In the end, this blog (wordpress) will be much easier to navigate and search than the last one (blogger). Plus, I will be able to add a lot more cool features!  If you subscribe to the RSS feed, you’re going to have to update it with the one I have in the upper right-hand corner.

Seabythecity.com is 1 year old!

Happy Birthday! One year later and I’m actually keeping it up! A big thank you to those who actually read this stuff. A big thank you to all contributors and a thank you to the Long Beach Herald and Time Out NY for the free advertising.

I am definitely not a journalist. This is just a hobby. I was obsessed with what was going on around town, so I decided to make an online diary about it all. Google made it easy for me with a “create a blog” link. At first, I didn’t know what to expect. The site had zero hits for months. Now it’s getting around a thousand per week! The majority being unique visitors, not just me hitting refresh on my web browser.

So thanks again and happy birthday seabythecity.com! If anybody wants to contribute, please contact me by filling out the form on the right side. Any help is appreciated!

Cheers,
Anthony
